Become a Trainer

Established in Germany in 1999, the award winning MFM-Projekt runs a number of fertility education workshops for boys and girls in their pre-teen as well as teen years and information evenings for their parents. In 2011, a diverse but small team of women all with a special interest or background in midwifery, fertility, sexual health and education set up MFM-Project UK to bring the special and highly successful pre-teen workshops to the children and parents of the UK.

Becoming a trainer and a member of our MFM Project UK team is an opportunity to support the expansion and growth of this unique and beautiful project here in the UK.

Whilst being sensitive to the topic, using age appropriate props and language, the workshops combine games, music and storytelling to ensure carefully structured learning. Our one day workshops help children to develop self confidence and an understanding about the changes that are going to occur within their bodies relating to puberty in a warm, fun and relaxed environment.

In order to be able to reach as many students as possible across the UK we are always looking for new trainers who are passionate about teaching pre-teens about their fertility.

You must have a clean criminal record, enjoy working with children and be passionate about the health and well-being of young people. You will also need lots of gusto and enthusiasm for business, be able to network and be a confident speaker. Trainers of both sexes are required. Male trainers for the boy’s workshop called Agents on a Mission and female trainers for the girl’s workshop called The Cycle Show.

Training programme for the girl’s Cycle Show workshop
Part 1 of the training programme includes 4 distance learning modules. Reading and learning information on topics such as the history and philosophy of MFM, the menstrual cycle and how fertility works, education standards and teaching skills. These can all be completed at home at your own pace and in your own time. Part 2 of the training programme includes actually practising and doing The Cycle Show. This starts with the presentation of a short section to a tutor and leads to the final assessment which is a full workshop attended by children and observed by an assessor.

Please get in touch if you are interested, we’d be happy to send you more information and answer any questions you may have.
